Stuck in the Middle of Bend (Oregon)
A cool song made the rounds this week in Bend. It was written by one Holly Hamilton to the tune of Stealer’s Wheel’s “Stuck in the Middle With You.” With lyrics like-
Don’t know why I moved here at all; from California, this place feels so small
I was lured here for a better life . . . that was when I was somebody’s wife

I think it’s pretty funny; the ditty pokes fun at many of the things that are (or were) near and dear to us . . . amongst others–our numerous roundabouts, the speed limit of 45 on the Bend Parkway,
the euthanizing of geese at Drake Park,
our propensity for golf courses,
and micro-brews,
as well as our current real estate market in Bend.
